I too, bought almost all my stuff from diaperswappers. got some great deals, but the velcro/aplix on some are not doing so hot. ugh... makes me want to sell them and get some new ones.

we're potty training hannah, so only the babe is in cloth right now and i hate to buy brand new dipes for one kid. perhaps we can make them last.

maybe i can replace the velcro??

Yes, we relied a lot on newborn prefolds, because we decided not to invest in more than about six small fitteds. I know many people make the OSs work on newborns...

Isn't it true about getting what you pay for! We bought several BumGenius seconds, and they are in good condition. But the stitching is coming out a little, and they didn't come with inserts. I'm glad we got them at a great price, since they aren't my fave anyway!

I totally agree with your thoughts on one size. I plan to use them with my next so I try to buy neutral colors. I am thinking that if I buy new they will last longer then used. So I can invest a little at a time and have a great stash for #2.

you know, i started with prefolds with dd, and then with ds i was all about os, and now i'm wanting some more sized covers for prefolds because there's no stuffing and they dry unbelivably quickly compared to aios and fitteds, lol!

I use one-sized diapers as covers (because I can't find any decent one size covers), and use prefolds and the inserts that they come with as liners, and just swap our the prefold or liner when wet, just like with using regular covers. That way, I don't have to own as many one sizes. :)

With two in diapers at the same time, it makes things so much easier!

Don't throw out those old prefolds! Use 'em!

I mainly use prefolds. I do have a few AIO's but I hate them! They always seem to leak, they take forever to dry and the velcro doesn't seem to last too long. With having two in diapers right now I have a LOT of laundry that I am doing. No matter how big my stash is, it never seems to get me through three full days. I have one One Size Gro Baby which I completely am in love with. I wish we had extra money to add more to our stash. But I love my prefolds and have been using them for over 4 years. (I was lucky and had my Mother around to teach me all the tricks of the trade).

That's funny - I am still only a few months into this cloth diapering journey, but I have found my way back from one-size pockets to the prefold (and prefitted) love. That's what's so crazy about all this - one mama swears by brand x, another by brand y, and a third says she likes a little of x and y, but mostly z!
