I've been recording figure skating but other than that I have watched bobsledding a little. I can't believe how fast that thing goes! In the past I would leave the TV on and watch all the events but with kids I can't do that anymore!

My husband and I just had that conversation. When I was a young girl, the Olympics was on and the other two channels showed re-runs so you sort of got into the Olympics because it was what was on. We talked about the Olympics at school. It just seemed like a big deal. Now...there's so much distraction. We haven't watched the Olympics in years but this year we watched a large portion of the opening ceremony and we have watched a bit of the figure skating and skiing and snowboarding. It's been fun. I just wish I'd quit falling asleep and having to ask my hubby who won.

I love watching the figure skating events. But the Olympics are on at the same time that I put my kids to bed at night so I've been missing them. Thank goodness for DVR's and online streaming. I'm hoping to get caught up on the figure skating this weekend. I suppose they will be over by then.

I must admit that I have not been into the Olympics as much as I was in the past. I have been frustrated with the coverage of events over the last several games. With that said I have watched some speed skating, figure skating and of course hockey. Still floored with how many goals Marty Brodeur let in on Team USA.
