Being homeschooled my kids don't get real snow days. We tend to do school work with or without snow. When their homeschool activities are canceled they tend to be disappointed. Last Friday was no different. They were upset that our co-op was cancelled. Even Daddy being home did not appease them. The snow on the other hand did make them happy. They could not wait to get outside and play in it. We discovered that Sean did not have boots so he worse plastic bags around his socks and his sneakers. He was very impressed that this trick kept his socks dry and warm. Once they were bundled up they went outside and played in the snow.
I just love the way he looks so amazed with the snow. Just picking it up and throwing it around.
"Mmmmm....snow is yummy," Mickey says.
"Don't throw snow at me, Sean!"
"Uh!!! Then where can I throw it?"
"Throw it on Buster."
"I'm ready to go inside, Sean"
"Aww.... thank you Sean for getting my Minnie."
Linking to Small Style - Both of their snowsuits come from The Children's Place. I love the coats there because they last from fall through spring. The outer part makes a light weight coat and the inside makes a zip up fleece sweat shirt.
I am also linking to You Capture because these pictures certainly say cold to me.

Aw. My daughter has the same hat as your little girl. They also went outside Friday and had a blast! I love watching children play in the snow, they are so amazed with it.
ReplyDeleteYep, mine don't get off for snow days either since we homeschool. We've done the plastic bag/boot trick before too. Whatever works right LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I miss snow days. I work at a newspaper, so even when the roads are declared a state of emergency, someone with an SUV has to come pick me up so I can work. :p
