The Holidays are almost here! The shopping season is upon us! And as such we all need a little extra cash, right? And add on top of that the fact that my family is currently in another country - we REALLY need a little extra these days. So, here are a few things I have been doing to aid our wallets.
First, do you know Mr. Rebates? Well, in case you do not let me tell you about him. If you start your shopping at Mr. Rebates you will receive a "rebate" on anything and everything you buy. First sign up for an account (and if you kindly use the links provided I will get credit for referring you - then you can get a referral link and refer your friends - that way you can get credit even when you do not shop). They even give you $5 just for signing up = now how cool is that?! Next all you do is start on the Mr. Rebates site and then search for the store or the product you want. Then click on the link to that site - and that's it. You will get a rebate - the amount depends on the site but Mr. Rebates tells you. For instance, I get a 6% rebate when I buy my contacts. I HAVE to buy those, so that is like free money to me. All for clicking on one site before I buy. How simple is that?
Another great way I have found to add a little extra to my wallet is through a program called sponsored tweets. The way it works is you go ahead and sign up for an account. Then you will be notified when an advertiser has choosen you to tweet about their site or product. Then if you are comfortable with the ad/product you accept the offer. At which point you will be instructed to write your tweet. You write it, you approve the advertiser. So only accept offers you like. Things you can stand behind. But really it is an easy way to add a little cash. And sponsored tweets is really easy to use. Oh and once again it has a referral program. :)
And then I have a favor to ask. I am asking you to please use my affiliate links when shopping. I know it sounds contracitory because I told you already to start all of your shopping at Mr Rebates BUT the affiliates I have are not on Mr Rebates. So, since you cannot start there and get your own rebate I would REALLY appreciate it if you would start out here. This is something I always do for other mamas. I know we can all use a couple extra dollars and it is easy enough for me to hit the affiliate button from someone else's blog. So...
First you all know I am a babywearing mama and as such I am an ERGO baby carriers affiliate. I LOVE my Ergo so if you are considering one or are looking to get one for a gift pretty please with sugar on top click here first.
And then, of course, there is Kelly's Closet. I pretty much exclusively buy cloth diapers from here. I have also purchased mama care products and she sells the Moby wrap (which would be the carrier that taught me to love babywearing). I love the store. The service is great and she has an awesome rewards program of her own. You get points for purchases and reviewing products she sells (after you buy and receive them) which you can redeem for gift certificates. I will not tell you how many reward points I have but lets just say I am saving them for a BIG gift certificate. :)
And lastly there is Amazon. When all else fails you can pretty much find anything on Amazon.
Thanks!!! Happy shopping!!!
