Happy Thanksgiving to all of you back in America!! Today is a day for remembering all it is that we have to be thankful for. And my family has plenty to be thankful for. As does yours I am sure. So, tell us about it, write about it on your blog, or facebook and link the post below. I promise to read each and every one of them when I get back. I look forward to it. Taking the time to be thankful and tell people about it is one of my favorite things about this time of year. So, here goes...
First of all, I have an absolutely wonderful, amazingly fantastic, totally awesome husband. A husband who I love very much and who loves me. And he arrives in Ethiopia to be with us today!! How perfect is that?!?! How can I not be unbelievably grateful for his arrival. I am also thankful that upon his arrival our entire family will be together. He will meet his third child for the first time today and I am so thankful that this day has finally come. He will finally be able to hold Little Sister and I am so thankful for that.
I also have three beautiful, wonderful, healthy children. Children who are sweet and funny. Children who curl up in my lap and give me kisses. Children who are developing as they should and who are growing and learning everyday. Children who are happy. And their happiness and health are the most important things that I am thankful for.
And, of course, I am unbelievably thankful for the fact that we are here. We are all together. The five of us. Little Sister is finally ours and in our arms. She is adjusting to life in our family and for that I am grateful.
We have a home, Hubby has a job that supports us. A job that he enjoys and is good at. We have two cats and a dog - and we love all three of them (even the dog!). For all of these things I am thankful.
And lastly, I am thankful for all of you - my readers. I am thankful for all the times that life is hard and you are here to boost my confidence. I am thankful for all the times that you have celebrated with my family. I am thankful for the fact that I am able to share my story with all of you. So, thank you!!
