Review It Sunday - ErgoBaby

If you have been reading here for awhile you know that I recently bought myself an Ergo. You are probably also aware that I just love it. I bought it because I simply could not imagine NOT having it for our day at the NYS Fair. Since then it has become a part of our daily life. Big Sister goes in it every morning and every afternoon when we go to drop off or pick up Big Brother from school. We go for walks in it several times a week. And Hubby even got in on the action earlier this week. We all love it. Big Sister even gets excited about it the way she gets excited about our Moby.

I do not think I can come up with a single thing I do not like about it. It is easy to put on. Easy to take off. It adjusts easily. Hubby wore it on Wednesday and I was able to adjust it on my way into school Thursday morning. I just love that I can wear it in the front or the back. And it actually has instructions on how to wear it on my hip too. I have not tried that yet. It is super comfy. I mean seriously it feels like nothing. I wore her in it just about all day when we went to the fair. I seriously cannot think of a single thing I do not just love about it. And you can tell from her face how she feels about it!

So, are you just dying for one of your own? I know you are and I have good news for you. The wonderful people at ErgoBaby have offered a gently used one to one of you beautiful people. 14. My favorite carrier... well, like I think I mentioned on one of your other fabulous babywearing giveaways, I've only over used ring slings, a snugli front carrier, and an old school backpack carrier.

I like the ease and portability of the ring sling the best out of all those, I would say.

Although, like Jess said up there, when I win this Ergo carrier, it will be my favorite. =)

  49. I've only used the Snuggli and I don't like it they hurt my shoulders and the one we have for my daughter(different then the one from my son) seems to hurt her. Instead we made our own wrap. We went to the fabric store and bought 6yrds of fabric and made one similar to a Moby.

I'm really wanting to try a real Moby and the Ergo looks pretty dang awesome too!

  52. Well, I really love the Ergo, too, and would love to have one that was a little less dressy and more simple than the one I have. Lately I wear my Sakura Bloom slings everywhere because I like to be matchy! And I love how they feel. My other carrier I could not live without is my mei tai.

  53. I loved the moby wrap until my chunky monkey started getting broken blood vessels in his legs. It was very sad because it worked really well for us. Now we love our ring sling. I don't know the brand, we bought it at a consignment fair for $4.00. The padding on the shoulder is fantastic and it fits both myself and my husband.

So far I have a Baby K'tan, I'm looking forward to trying, because I don't have to tie it, and it distributes the weight on both shoulders, instead of one.

  64. my mei tei is my favorite right now. Although when he was younger I love my homemade moby type and I also like my baby k'tan. I tried nonadjustable slings and I never got the right fit. I'm really envious of the Ergo owners and am dying to try one. I think it would be great for all the reasons i love my mei tei ease of use, can breastfeed in it, he falls asleep easily. comfortable, portable, etc. but i bet the ergo is even better!

  80. I do not currently have a favorite. I loved the Peanut Shell when my son was an infant and the Premaxx when he got a little older. Now with a 25 1/2 lb, 13 month old, a sling puts too much pressure on my opposite shoulder. We also have a Snugli and an Infantino. He has outgrown the Snugli and the Infantino it pretty uncomfortable. It is sooo much easier to wear him than to lug around a giant stroller!
