Review It Sunday - Honey Kix

Some mornings around our house are easy, slow, quiet and we can have anything we want for breakfast. We can take the time to cook waffles or scrambled eggs. Sometimes I have time during the day and I can make banana bread or muffins for breakfast the next morning. And sometimes none of that is possible. Sometimes throwing a bowl of cereal together for Big Brother and a handful on the table for Big Sister is all I can get together. And for me cereal is a good, easy low points (still doing WW) option for breakfast. I can eat pretty much any cereal I want and have my breakfast be between 2 and 4 points. I like that it makes things simple for me.

Now awhile ago I learned that I could have a BIGGER bowl of Kix than any other cereal and have it still only be 2 points. Woo Hoo!! So, I bought a box of Kix and it quickly became my favorite cereal. Had it pretty much every morning for breakfast. The only exception was when I was pregnant. For whatever odd reason it made me sick if I ate it for breakfast. But after awhile that went away and I was able to go back to enjoying my Kix. So, when the opportunity to try out the new Honey Kix came up I was so excited!!!

So it got here and we tried it. And we all really liked it. I loved that it remained low in points (3 instead of 2 but still really low) and that it was not overly sugary. While the kids were plain and simple fond of the taste. Well, okay I liked the taste too. Truth be told I love Kix and now I love Honey Kix as well. I think I may still like the original best but the new Honey Kix is definitely made it's way into our cabinet. And I do not think it will be making an exit anytime soon. Big Sister likes it because she can easily pick it up and because it is sweet. Big Brother likes it because it makes the milk a little sweeter - he says that it makes the best milk. So, there you have it from my family to yours Honey Kix is a hit. :)

But do you want to know the sweetest part? I have a Honey Kix prize pack to offer to one of you. What does the prize pack consist of? A box of Honey Kix, a cereal tupperware, a honey dish and a bowl (the one pictured).

  5. We love kix too & R will NOT have just a handful of cereal if I do that he snatches the boys out of their bowls lol I have to pour him a bowl with a tiny bit of milk for him to sit at the table with the other boys! I don't really do anything to simplify I line up bowls pour cereal in all then milk & delivery the bowls lol I usually don't make breakfast cause well the boys would rather have cereal & it takes less time! ;) but banana bread sounds SOOOOOO good right now! :P

  9. My morning routine is pretty easy since I just have two toddlers, but to simplify it I always have lot of cereal stocked up in the pantry to prevent tantrums that would ensue if I didn't have a kind they wanted.
