Just Because They Are Cute

I bought those shirts for them just before Big Sister was born. Just because they are cute. It melts my heart to see them sitting there together in those shirts. Because they are so true! They love each other so much! Each thinking the other exists for the sole purpose of entertaining the other. Each with smiles that light up the room for the other. Each not whole without the other.

So often people talk about how hard it is on older siblings when a new baby comes along. So much so that I have gotten myself all worked up in the last two weeks at how things will be for Big Sister when Little Sister gets here. I have often joked that her world is going be rocked. But I look at this picture and I think about how she has already learned how to be the older one. I think about how she already knows to be loving and to enjoy your sibling. And I know that she will love her little sister as much as she loves her big brother. I know that as much as Big Brother and Big Sister seem like a pair at the moment they are really only two-thirds of a whole and they will be even happier once all three are together. And I know I need to get all three of them new shirts.
