Well, the end of the hockey season is here. It's all over. Hard to believe. We've been watching games on tv and heading out to games all over New York. The biggest hockey fan in our family, without a doubt, is Big Brother. In fact, we weren't a hockey family at all before we happened upon a game and he loved it. So, to sum up a little bit about the Stanley Cup finals, here is Big Brother, in his own words:
The Penguins won the [Stanley] Cup. It was a good game. There was one minute left in the game. The Penguins goalie made an awesome save. It was a good one.
Hubby: What is your favorite part of hockey?
Big Brother: I don't have a favorite part. It's the whole game.
H: Do you like watching games on tv or going to game better?
BB: Both. They are both different.
H: If someone was thinking about watching hockey, which do you think they should do first, watch a game on tv or go to a game?
BB: They should go to a game first. It's good.
After he answered me, he had some questions of his own that he wanted to ask:
Big Brother: Fleury fast?
H: Yes.
BB: Crosby fast?
H:Yep.
BB: Lundqvist fast?
H: Yes.
BB: Rangers fast?
H: Yes.
BB: Crunch fast?
H: Yes.
BB: Would you want to see the Crunch win the Calder Cup at home or on tv?
Hubby: At home.
BB: Would you want to see the Rangers win the Stanley Cup at home or on tv?
Hubby: At home.
And there you have it. Hockey from Big Brother's perspective. He is quick to remind all of us that there are only 3 more months until hockey starts again. When it does, we highly recommend that your family considers being a hockey family, too.
