Well, it is Aloha Friday time! This will be my first so for any of you who do not know what Aloha Friday is...
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that people take it easy and look forward to the weekend (sound familiar?). So, we take it easy on Friday blog posts by sticking to just one quick question that surfers-by can answer with just a quick response themselves. This week's question is:
How many mother's day cards did you send/give this year?
Me: Well, there's my mom, my brother and sister's mom, my dad's current wife, my MIL, Hubby's grandma. That right there is ten (they all get one from Hubby and me and one from the kids) and then each of the kids Godmother's get a card. So, that makes twelve. And I am guessing that the kids got me one. So, that is a total of thirteen cards. Is that normal? :)

This year we sent to my grandmother, MIL, hubby's sister, brother's wife, aunt, and I bought one for my mother to give her while away. I know the boys also bought me one and so did hubby. So that's 8. Last year we had 2-3 additional ones since we did the little guy's B-day party on Mother's day.

Only one, I only wish my mother a happy mothers day. If we talk to hubbys mother on the phone I will wish her a happy day as well but as far as a card, just one.

ReplyDeleteI sent out 4. 1 to my mom from me and 1 from the kids, 1 to my grandmother and 1 to my grandmother from the kids. Then another 2 on mother's day - 1 for my wife and 1 to my wife from the kids.

ReplyDeleteThree from us to my mom, MIL, and grandmother. And three from the kids to the same. Also, I will receive one from my kids, husband and parents (if they stick to the usual tradition).
ReplyDeleteGood question! I have sent out 3 so far. One to my mom, Tom's mom, one to a neighbour who was like a mom, and I still need to send one to Tom's grandma. (I just don't know where she is right now - she moves around from one family member to the next) Now the funny part, I still had the cards in my bag last night, stamped so I drove over to the post office by my parents and mailed them from there, so they will get delivered today. Had I drove another 45 seconds, I would of been at their house!
