6 Pieces of Advice

My wife is heading away for the weekend and, so, I am in charge of this week's Small Talk Six. The topic is: 6 pieces of advice that you think are obvious, but some people just need to hear.

In thinking about my 6 pieces of advice, I have to say that my tongue was in my cheek just a bit. While that might make it difficult to give advice if I was actually talking, I can comfortably keep it there the entire time I'm typing. So, there you go.

1. Quitters never win... but at least they don't lose.

2. If you can't stand the heat... turn down the heat.

3. An apple a day keeps the doctor away... unless he likes apples.

4. When in doubt... I'm not sure what to do.

5. Laughter is the best medicine... next to penicillin.

6. If at first you don't succeed... give up because you probably never will.

Don't forget to head over to MomDot to see what advice everyone else has to offer. Have a great weekend (I'll be trying to survive all alone in my house!)

  5. I like your style and have to point out that with my crazy coffee group laughter is the best medicine and if you are on penicillin don't tell us because we will self medicate with laughter at your expense. There would be a lot of jokes with that one.

  7. Wow! You're a busy guy! Wanna know what my husband does when I'm not home? Sits on his rear in front of the computer and plays games, or sits on his rear in the recliner and plays PSP. Of course, he does that when I AM home too ;) I forgive him though since he works 50 hours a week. :)

    Keep on cleaning Hubby!

PS...when you're done, wanna come to OH and help out a pregnant blog stalker? ;-)
