Have you entered my Diaper Cover or wool shorties giveaway yet?
Okay so, it sounded more like "Ma-am-mmm" but still. When she first said it yesterday morning I clapped and smiled at her and said "Yay - you said Mommy." But even I did not believe it. I figured if I encouraged it she might continue to do it and eventually it would be Mommy she was saying.
Then in the afternoon I was doing something, I can't remember what, and she was fussing. Hubby told her that I would get her in a minute. I go over and pick her up and she says, "Ma-am-mmm" and taps my shoulder and snuggles her head into me. So, everyone in the house is in agreement - she said Mommy!!!
The best part is I am two for two. Most kids say Daddy (or well, "da-da") first but both of mine have said Mommy first. Big Brother was much older. He was 10 months old and we had gone a cruise. We were on the top deck for the safety drill when they sounded the horn. That thing is really, super loud and it scared him. Hubby was holding him and he just let out this wail of "Moooommmmmyyyyyy." :)
I am pretty excited. :)
