Well, it is Aloha Friday time! This will be my first so for any of you who do not know what Aloha Friday is...
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that people take it easy and look forward to the weekend (sound familiar?). So, we take it easy on Friday blog posts by sticking to just one quick question that surfers-by can answer with just a quick response themselves. This week's question is:
When you are sick do you have someome that helps you and picks up the slack for you? Or does the house fall to pieces until you are better?
Me: I am so lucky. Hubby took such good care of me while I was sick this week. He got up with the baby, he took care of the kids, he let me sleep. Not only that he cleaned and organized the kitchen cabinets. I swear I don't know what I would do without him!!!

My husband used to help when our children were young.
ReplyDeletePieces. lol. Actually my husband is pretty good when I'm sick. I think this question is funny because I just posted the other day on how mad I get when my hubby is sick and complaining. lol
ReplyDeleteMy husband would help when our kids were young too.....that's if I'm sick. Once I went to Hawaii to visit with my family for two weeks...he hadn't done "any" dishes or laundry! *L*
ReplyDeleteactually my boyfriend that I live with is awesome it would be fine he is great at keeping the house in order
ReplyDeleteNormally my house is already clean. I guess I would say the family go on with their daily routines and leaves me be. Hubby will take my daughter out. The house is put on 'the wait til Mom Gets better' List.lol
ReplyDeleteMy house falls to pieces when Im sick. It is just me and the kids so I have to suck it up until Im better and just deal but if Im really bad. I pack the kids up and go to my mothers lol
ReplyDeleteMy wife does so much so if I got sick she would take of me, the house and kids. She is awesome. If you get a chance check out my blog and giveaways at http://www.pbandsmellysdad.com/
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice when you have someone to help! Mine is usually pretty good!
ReplyDeleteSteph
If I'm really, really sick, my mom will come over and take care of the children while I rest...and she cleans the house too!
ReplyDeleteToo bad I don't get sick more often. lol
My Aloha Friday
Someone that helps me when I'm sick? HAHAHA, you're funny! Seriously though, I get very little help around here. When I am sick I just suck it up and do what HAS to get done, and leave the rest for when I'm feeling better.
ReplyDeleteNOPE!
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm sick I'm sick and the laundry still has to get done or it's a bigger problem the next day.
My husband helps when he is home from work. Now the boys are teens, they do their share.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments. God bless you sister. If I have time I will j
ReplyDeleteI Will join Aloha Friday. Blessings to you
ReplyDeleteMy mother and grandmother come over! My mother takes care of me and helps with the kids and my grandmother helps with the house and the kids. I'm so lucky! My hubby doesn't do sick.
ReplyDeleteMy husband tries to pick up the slack if he is around.
ReplyDeleteMy husband! He is great! My mom, sisters, or friends have also been known to stop by..
ReplyDeleteWell, my husband has been good to pick up slack in the past, but more often than not now, it is my 12 yo and 13 yo daughters who pick up the slack and help with the other 5 kids and the housework when I'm sick. Unless it's laundry folding ... that tends to get ignored.

falls to pieces
ReplyDeleteI am lucky that my hubby really does try. Of course when I end up sick he suddenly isn't feeling well and I do not get much sympathy.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are stating to feel better today.
Generally when I'm sick I'm on my own with the kids.
ReplyDeleteEverything goes to pieces and I'm left to pick up those pieces when I recover!
ReplyDeleteI don't have time to be sick! Being a single mom to 4 lil boys I do it all myself!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely goes to pieces. I've learned to keep some frozen dinners that you heat up in the skillet along w/ frozen veg around though. At least they get fed!
ReplyDeleteDepends lol My husband is so good at helping.. but if I could plan being sick on the weekend.. lol it would be better for every one's schedule!
ReplyDeleteUm, well... the necessities get done (thanks to hubby), but beyond that the house becomes a general mess til I feel better. :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a terrible housekeeper, and not very good at taking care of anyone, so thank goodness I don't get sick often!
ReplyDeleteHubby is great at taking care of me and always has and we have been together for 35yrs now. I am really lucky.
ReplyDeleteNothing really changes unless it's Saturday when we are both off work and then I will get to take naps. He normally cooks, helps with laundry, cleans the kitchen, and helps with some diaper changes. I'm super lucky.
ReplyDeleteyou are SO lucky to have such a great hubby to take care of you and the house. i am jealous!
