Sixth - Do not forget to fill out the Parenting Magazine order form and mail it in with your invoice once the order arrives.

I did this on Tuesday and I ordered three BumGenius diapers. They are $17.95 a piece. In the end after my rebates my purchase will come to $27.33. That's $9.11 per diaper.I went through it with Pampers size 3 diapers as well (just for an example) and I would have purchased 195 diapers for $27.37 (there is an additional $1 Pampers coupon on the site). That's $.14 per diaper.

If you have no need for diapers you can still win with all this info. Diapers.com sells all kinds of things, including formula, baby food and clothing. So go check it out. Just remember to start at Mr Rebates.

And if you are wondering shy this counts as frugal Friday it is for two reasons - one anytime you can get anything at a really good price you are being frugal and two - if you start all of your online purchases at Mr Rebates you will save a lot of money. Hubby and I are going to be buying a computer soon and if we start our purchase at Mr Rebates will get almost $40 back from them. Now that is frugal.

  3. Saving money on purchasing diapers is great. The next step is to reduce your use of them a little bit to help the environment..

Have a look into EC next to reduce your diaper use a bit - I always say "Just one less diaper a day" is fabulous - and quite easy.

  4. The best way to clean cloth diapers is to pre-rinse them off in the toilet using a Bathroom Bidet Sprayer. So convenient and if you are trying to help the environment (and your pocket book) you can give it a double whammy by virtually eliminating toilet paper use, at the same time as you benefit from using it on the diapers, by using it on yourself. I think Dr. Oz on Oprah said it best: "if you had pee or poop on your hand, you wouldn't wipe it off with paper, would you? You'd wash it off" Available at www.bathroomsprayers.com they come in an inexpensive kit and can be installed without a plumber. And after using one of these you won't know how you lasted all those years with wadded up handfuls of toilet paper. Now we're talking green and helping the environment without any pain.

  5. That's really neat. We actually have a whole stack of BumGenius in the cupboard, as well as prefolds and an assortment of other cloth diapering stuff. I can't decide if should get more cause they are nice, or wait until we have a second kid.

Oh and Chardra's comment made me laugh because I thought EC was emergency contraception and in my head I thought, yes finding the baby peeing on the floor will kill the mood. Totally.
