Review of Sweet Infant & A CLOTH DIAPER GIVEAWAY

I am so excited to be writing this review. I connected with the very sweet owner , Rachel, of Sweet Infant over on diaperswappers. If you do not know what diaperswappers is, it is a website where people sell cloth diapers. Some have stores, some make their own stuff and some sell their used diapers. But that is all a post for another time.

Now, Sweet Infant, is really a one stop shop for all your natural baby needs. Rachel sells everything from cloth diapers to nursing covers to baby carriers and all kinds of cloth diapering accessories. She has a starter package for those of you not sure which diapers to buy. It can be an overwhelming prospect. There are a lot of options, so a starter package can be the way too go. With so many options you can find exactly what you want. Plus, I simply love helping to support WAHMs. I love knowing that my money went to help a real person make a living and not just to add to the pockets of the owners of major corporations.

She has been in business since May of 2008. Now that is not a very long time, but her products are all tried and true so you have no real worries about the quality of what you are getting. She has a fantastic review feature on the products. It is brand new so very few products actually have reviews on them. But I think it is a great idea. I simply love when websites have reviews on them. I always read them.

But my absolute favorite thing Rachel has going on at Sweet Infant right now is a SALE. I love sales and I find them so hard to resist (good thing Hubby will have my head if I go around ordering all the sale things I think are a good idea to order - otherwise we would be broke :)). She has a few clearance items that will be on sale until she sells out and a sale on Thirsties AIO s(all in ones), Fab Fitteds and covers- so you better head over soon and make your purchase.

So, now that you know all about how wonderful Rachel and Sweet Infant are I can tell you the best news of all. Rachel has generously donated a Knickernappies pocket diaper and a loop - do insert. You will get to pick both the color and the size of the diaper - after all it is going on your baby. :) All you have to do to win is leave a comment here. I would love to hear about why you decided to cloth diaper, but any comment will do. :)

  2. just beginning to research cloth diapers. I have heard the babies can come home from Ethiopia with nasty diaper rash and cloth may be the best thing to start out with. I would love to see a "how to wash/clean diapers post" for newbies.

  3. I started CD'ing when my chunky baby moved into Size 6 Huggies Overnites. They are almost impossible to find so a friend suggested cloth diapers. I was hesitant until she handed me a Goodmama and then I was sold! Now I'm a total addict!

  5. I decided to cloth diaper because the thought of all the disposable diapers that we were throwing away really bothered me. That is a lot of garbage! We can't use cloth full time due to daycare, but I figure every bit helps. Also diapers are really expensive and in these tough times it is great to save some $. They are also softer against my little man's skin!

  10. My daughter has developed an opinion - she loves picking out which diaper she's going to wear! The only problem is when the one she wants is in the wash... :-/
She'd love that bright pink - I think it comes in large.

  12. I chose to CD because of the usual reasons: 1.) economy, 2.)environment and, of course 3.) the health of my baby. But I became obsessed with CD'ing because there are so many adorable and amazing diapers and diapering concepts out there.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I started cd'ing because I was appalled at the amount of waste my little one was producing. I was scared at first, didn't really know what to do with the poop. I'm glade I gave it a chance because now I love it. I wish ob's and pediatricians would discuss the option with their patients. Many people are not aware that some cloth diapers can be put on just like a disposable. I thought the only option available was prefolds and plastic pants, like when I was little. I also don't think people realize what exactly is in a disposable. If they did I don't think they would want it next to their babies skin. denise3027@netzero.net

  19. I am pregnant with my second and am going to cloth diaper this baby. My only hesitation is the cost of getting started! My first is 19 months and I never did cloth diapers and said I never would........BUT its not as hard to do as I thought it would be.

Needless to say, I would LOVE to win this! I am going to try out a few different styles and then decide what works best for me!

    Thanks!

  20. I decided to cloth diaper because of the environmental aspect of it. Disposables create such waste, so I thought I could help the environment by using cloth instead. It's also a great way to save money.

  31. I started w/cloth at 8-9 mos old w/#2. DH had told me cloth would be too hard, etc. When DD kept getting bloody rashes that NOTHING, not even an RX cream would heal, I got some PF's & wraps... w/in days she was healed up!! DH had no idea I was using cloth... didn't hide it, but didn't change her on the floor anymore because I needed leverage to use my Snappi (LOL)... when he discovered it 2 MONTHS later, he was a convert too! I also like the aspect of respecting God's creation by not dumping as many sposies into the trash as I was before. I don't worship the earth by an means, BUT I do want to respect God's creation of my DD, & also His earth :0).

  34. Hi! I decided to cloth diaper my 4th child that is due. I wanted to with my last child but chickened out..this time I'm ready to give it a go. I'm doing it for the cost effectiveness, cuteness factor and really like that it is more environmentally friendly! Besides..it's going to be wonderful the just throw a dipe in the wash instead of driving into town to buy a new pack when I'm out! :)

  61. I decided to cloth diaper b/c I witnessed my neighbor go through two kids in diapers before I got pregnant, and the amount of garbage produced by that household was staggering - I'd see bags and bags piled on their curb each week, and it just made me sick to my stomach. So I knew I had to cloth diaper. Then once I started CDing I realized how fun it is in its own right, and now I do it equally for the fun of dressing up that little bum and for the peace that comes from knowing I am not grossly adding to landfills :) Thanks for the contest!

  62. I started cloth diapering for two reasons. First was money. my husband and I are very low income and I love staying home with my baby girl. We need to pinch wherever we can. The next reason was the environment. I just couldn't live with myself after throwing that much stuff away. I don't like to throw anything away! After I started cloth diapering, I got way into the cuteness. I had no idea how cute they could be. So now i'm hooked!
