Well, it is Aloha Friday time! This will be my first so for any of you who do not know what Aloha Friday is...
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that people take it easy and look forward to the weekend (sound familiar?). So, we take it easy on Friday blog posts by sticking to just one quick question that surfers-by can answer with just a quick response themselves. This week's question is:
Do you have a bib you recommend? Type, brand, any advice is welcome!!!!!
Me - I have no answers. I am in desperate need of a better bib. We have been using the cloth ones we were given when Baby Sister was born and some of the ones leftover from Big Brother. However, they are gross!!!! They get food all over them and I cannot get them clean. I found a review/giveaway for a Bumkins SuperBib and one for a DaBib both seem great. Much better than the ones I have. So, before I buy anything do you all have any advice? Please help!! :)

Oooh....do I have a bib for you! Ikea has these little plastic bibs that are AWESOME. Long, with sleeves and a pocket...and did I mention they're about $4 for the pair?

ReplyDeleteNot a brand name, but I love the bibs with the strap on the shoulder and not in the back. Makes life so much easier when they fall asleep in your arms to take off the bib.
ReplyDeleteI actually made all my kids bibs so that's my answer. Me.
ReplyDeleteUm no brand but I liked the ones that fastened with velcro over the tie ones. Always got my girls hair in them
ReplyDeleteI like the ones that have the pocket at the bottom to catch what ever would of ended up elsewhere
ReplyDeleteWe have a really amazing quality hard plastic bib that we got at Walmart (made for them). It is the only one that we have used for both of the boys. I have one at home, one in our diaper bag and another at Nana and Papa's house. FYI - a bib giveaway is coming on my blog soon for one that I am reviewing.
ReplyDeletemy dad calls it a hazmat suit, but the bib is made of plastic and has a pouch at the bottom that catches all the food they drop.
ReplyDeleteI like the Bumkins Super Bibs, I used them for my grandson.
ReplyDeleteOh dangit! I have no clue about bibs! I am glad all of these other people do though cause I'm gonna need to know what kind I should get one day!
ReplyDeleteYou have a BEAUTIFUL family! Hope mine is as cute one day :o)
Loong done w/ that & nowhere near ready to have grandkids! lol Have you tried using Tilex on your lighter color bibs? Stuff is amazing but it will bleach the material so it needs to be white. Good luck in your quest!
ReplyDeleteI love the Baby Bjorn ones with a pocket. We need something to catch food. G-man likes to dig in there once all the food on his plate is gone. Kind of gross, but funny!
ReplyDeleteI am afraid I cannot help out. The last bib I purchased was 14 years ago.
ReplyDeleteWish I could help but I've no idea about bibs right now.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about bibs to be honest we didn't use them that much. I know my grandma always got after me for it!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry i am no help we didn't really do bibs LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL ~ Here I go again - this is for sure the Aloha Friday questions for the young ones - ha! Beings that my kiddies are 29 & 30 now and no grandchildren yet, I don't really do bibs anymore?! But I do remember our favorite was sorta plastic witha soft material around the neck and a big "Scoop" at the bottom - it caught everything!!
ReplyDeleteI have only ever used the cloth ones as well. Let me know what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteNo idea! I am waaaay out of the bib loop! Good luck choosing!
ReplyDeleteI never needed bibs for drooling like I do now for this kid... I have not solutions for that. However, I do like the vinyl ones you can get at Target - cheap and you just throw them into the top rack of the dishwasher.
ReplyDeleteSorry I don't have any bib brand recommendations but I used cloth bibs for my son when he was a baby.
ReplyDeletei am just too far away from the bib stage that i wouldn't have a clue. good luck.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite bibs are actually the ones we randomly picked up at Ikea last year. They have 3/4 length sleeves, velcro behind the neck, rest on the knees when sitting, and have a nice, deep pocket. They're a light-weight nylon and are machine washable. Plus, a 2-pack was really cheap!
