Valentine's Week
In honor of Valentine's week I thought I would tell you all about my love of cards. I just love cards. All cards - for any reason. I love sending them and I love getting them (If any of you want to you can remind Hubby to get me a card for Valentine's day). But, seriously, I just love cards. For years I would keep all the cards I had in a shoe box. I would still have them all but I just cannot keep that many boxes around.
I absolutely HATE throwing them away. When Hubby does remember to get me a card I keep on my dresser or nightstand for a really long time. Eventually he asks if he can throw it away and I reluctantly agree.
Cards are just so fun. Whether it is writing them and sending them to someone else so that they can know you thought of them or getting a card because someone has thought about you. It just touches my heart and I love it.

I love cards too. I save all of the ones my children have given me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
i love 'em too, but the hubs doesn't buy them often.
ReplyDeletethanks for the reminder - this is my last day of work before v-day and his card is in my desk here at work!
i love cards too!! but i always forget to buy them for other poeple... my hubby is not a card person but I think I will mention how much i enjoy them!!
ReplyDeleteIt is very hard for me to throw out any card that someone wrote something in. If it simply says, "love so and so..." I can toss it but if something is written in it, I goes into the ground with me.
ReplyDeleteI love cards, too...especially homemade ones! I only keep the most meaningful ones which is pretty much every one that my husband gives me! :)
ReplyDeleteRegarding your comment on my blog--I would *love* to get my son's haircut at SuperCuts. So much cheaper. And hey, Great Clips out here has haircuts for $5.99 right now!! Can't beat that!
Isn't it funny, I am sooooo unsentimental. My hubby and I barely even do cards cause they end up in the garbage. So I guess none of you card lovers should send me anything :)
ReplyDeleteMy hubby has every card I have given him stored in a drawer. I didn't even know that for years. LOL So sweet!
ReplyDeleteI would appreciate it if you would help me spread the word on my giveaway. It is for cloth diapers handmade here in the USA by a WAHM.
Awww, I want to send you a card now, just because :)
ReplyDeleteI got a card today from a friend, "just to send you a little sunshine." That's what I would send to you - lots of happy sunshine!
I love cards as well. When we were in college, my sister and I used to go to the local Hallmark store and read the cards. We couldn't afford to buy them, nor did we have a need for all of them, but we loved them!
