We had a very interesting day yesterday. The neighbors who live behind us became enraged with my husband and proceeded to scream and holler. They have a tree that is growing right next to their fence in their backyard that hangs over into our yard. Now technically, at that part of the fence, our property is about a foot and a half to two feet in from where the fence stands. None the less, we have always been the ones to mow that are and take care of the property. So, as my husband is trying to mow he is getting hit in the face with the branches from the tree. So, he got out the trimmers and trimmed the tree to the top of the fence. Well, you would have thought he cut the down the tree or something for the way this man screamed and yelled at him. He comes out screaming and cursing. My husband tries to reason with him, asking what he should do to be able to take care of the lawn and the man said that he should not touch his property. So, they agree to call the town in the morning and let the town resolve it. You would think that would be a solution for the moment, but no the man continues to come out and scream and yell. Each time getting more and more worked up. After awhile his wife comes out. She states that she has called her lawyer and her lawyer says that we are not allowed to touch their property. At this point I have come outside and I am holding Big Brother, who is scared, and I ask if she is then planning on coming over and mowing the lawn on her property. Town ordinances will not allow them to just let it get overgrown and unkempt. She curses at me and then quickly calms down. This sets her husband off again and he starts screaming and cursing again. I quickly inform him that if he does not refrain from speaking this way I will call the police. Well, he curses a bunch more times and Big Brother and I go inside to call the police. Hubby and the neighbors wife come to an agreement that he can cut the tree where it hangs over, in order to mow the lawn. The police come and talk to all of us. Of course, by the time the get here the man has gone inside and the situation is much calmer. So, I look like a moron, but honestly, I was (and still am a little) worried that they will come over and do something to our yard. So, I am glad that the police have a record of the incident.
These people are not exactly great neighbors. They have called our town a bunch of times this summer to complain about our dog. Now, I admit, we have a yappy little pomeranian. He is everything they say about small dogs. He is jumpy, he is loud, easily excitable, etc. We are very careful to only let him out during the day. We bring him in if her barks for more than a few minutes, although, I do sometimes leave him out there barking at this guy or his wife if they are antagonizing him. However, none of that matters because they have called the town because the dog is barking while he is in the house. The town has informed them that there is nothing they can do if our dog barks while he is inside. None the less they brought that up while they were all worked up yesterday. The wife suggested we get him a muzzle. Yeah, that's what I am going to do. Muzzle my dog because he barks while he is in my house. Get off it lady.
So, anyway, that was my interesting event of the weekend. Still no baby. Have a nice day!
Any baby???
