Hello all!!
It has been WAY too long since I have stopped by to give you an update. I have been distracted. For today I will not bore you with all of the negative things that are hindering the Vietnam process and my thoughts on those. I will stick to only good news.
To start with as of Saturday we are 5 months DTV. That is very exciting because we are hoping for a referral in about two months. It has gotten closer and even though each day can seem very long the five months have gone pretty quickly. And for those of you who are aware of everything going on - yes, we do expect to get a referral and to be able to finish this adoption. We are praying for it, but overall we do feel a sense of peace that tells us we are still on the right path.
Now, for the 23 weeks part. Yes, you guessed it I am 23 weeks pregnant now. That time has gone pretty quickly as well. I have gained exactly 23 pounds (which, is honestly more than I wanted but the doctor says it is very healthy so what can you do?). And the big news as for the pregnancy is we found out a few weeks ago that the baby is a girl. We are very excited. We now have a son and a daughter and as for the last one - well, we hope to know in a few months. Our son (and now the whole family) has dubbed her Baby Sister. So, that is probably how I will refer to her from now on.
She is a hoot. She moves all the time now. I can tell when she likes things. She likes when hubby plays the guitar, she likes when my son sings, she loves ice cream (takes after her mommy) and enjoys watching (well, in her case listening) to hockey games. It is fun to be able to feel her personality already. I went shopping and bought her some newborn clothes. I tried not to buy much but I did. I have all of my sons old clothes saved so I am hoping to get to use at least some of those. I bought her a couple of cute little denim skirts to go with the shirts I have from Big Brother and I bought her shirts that will go with his pants and stuff. Of course, if the other baby is a boy he will get most of Big Brother's stuff, but jeans can be shared and a few of those shirts are going to look very cute on my girl with a denim skirt.
Well, I guess that is all of our news. I will try to be more forth coming with the posts. Thanks for reading. :)
Congratulations on your pregnancy! That's wonderful news!
