Somewhere Out There

I have been thinking a lot lately about the song Somewhere Out There. You know the one from An American Tail. It seems so fitting that this be a song for our little baby. Out there in the world somewhere, waiting for their family, us sitting here looking at the sky and wondering what it looks like from where they sit. I can't seem to get it out of my head. Here are the lyrics:

Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight

Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there

And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star

And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there if love can see us through
Then we'll be together somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true

And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star

And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there if love can see us through
Then we'll be together somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true

Could anything better describe how we feel about this child. My son asks all the time what the babies are doing. He keeps asking if our baby in Vietnam (or Baby as he refers to him/her) is still in someones belly. Well, really we do not know. I do not think so though. I have this feeling for the last few weeks that he/she has recently been born. Time was it would not be crazy. But still I really have no idea.

Well, I am thinking good thoughts and saying prayers for all of our babies, somewhere out there. Maybe we will get a few more Easter miracles.
